Visited a Japanese owned used guitar shop in Bangkok with a friend who was looking for a MIJ or MIM Strat.

Pretty neat shop, lots of used guitars at all price points. Friend eventually walked out with a Player MIM Strat for about $600.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a perfect place to get lost for a few hours playing a dozen guitars and busting your brain thinking up a creative way to justify to the wife why you need more Strats than the Duggar's have children.

I'll bet that space has fantastic acoustics. I'm not referring to the guitars, but to the pleasing nature of its natural reverb and sense of space. Long rooms with brick walls and high ceilings typically do. From a sonic point of view that's my favorite kind of place to play. I call them "box car" rooms.

Yeah very sparse room..only a Blues Junior and a Champion 100 as test amps. Most of the inventory the clerk says is overflow from their Yokohama Japan main branch. All used. ...some really interesting stuff...I saw a nice MIJ vintage Epi Riviera but it was $2200 bucks..ouch..but they get used inventory every week so I will definitely check them out.

Looks like a cool shop. That green Epiphone is a curious item - at first I thought it was a Gretsch but i noticed the epi headstock logo. During the season of Thanksgiving, I am thankful that we can freely walk into a guitar shop and grab something off the wall without having to make an appointment, wear a mask or any of the other crazy things we did for a while.

The green Epi had pickups imprinted with 'SWINGSTER' logo. It was listed for about $700.. if not for the gold hardware, I would have been interested

Looks like a cool guitar store.

I went to GC Thursday afternoon and it sure was different this year. Every year from about Black Friday on, they normally have a surplus of all kinds of acoustics, all kinds of package deals stacked up everywhere for all the Christmas shoppers. Stacks and stacks of PA speakers and all the stuff I am used to seeing during the lead up to Christmas. This year it looked just like it did last time I was there or any ordinary day during the year. It has got me to wondering if that store is slated for the chopping block. I have buddy that has been there since it opened and Mars before that. I need to message him and see what he says.
