I had a spare KB 60 amp, so I sold it on FB today for low money.

An hour later I get a FB text saying, "wife says too big, do you have a smaller one?"

LOL.
Someone needs to grow a pair.

Worst update possible: Dude came back to my door, and I took the amp back...
Funny and sad all around.

Anyway, I showed him my Blackstar ID Core 10, pointing out what he could be getting.

No, not sure if he has one still?

Add stupid to the mix: Man seems well off (I looked), why can't he pick one of several SMALL and very good amps on the market? EDIT are there?

As I had the Backstar and the Peavey side by side, played them one after the other. Warmth and breath of the 12-inch speaker was so much more satisfying! Great fit for his jazzy stuff he spoke about.

That was over and above nice of you to take the returned amp!

This hit me two ways: 1.) Reinforcement that it never hurts to ask, and 2.) The Amazon effect which is becoming a societal norm: 'order it to see if you really wanted it.'

Yup.

I do that with clothes now. Order from Amazon. If they fit and I like them, I keep. If not, send back. :)

Man, you are nicer than I am! I would have just said, "Sorry, this ain't Amazon, all sales are final."
