Washburn Custom Shop Models

These are kind of crazy. I see on locally I might grab. I didn't love the 14" radius neck on the last one I tried but some people might prefer that wider radius. I'm tempted to buy another as I recall them being exceptionally high-quality guitars for the prices they go for (which seem to be slowly rising now that only the Stanley and Nuno models are made). I'm not in love with the design aesthetic of the one I'm looking at.

Almost every demo is of people playing metal. But they're usually either a medium high output bridge pickup with a PAF neck (59).
I think this one has antiquities.

I went chasing a specific, a Washburn LA604B,

My best friend owned one, it was a little different, and turns out they only made 12.

One was found on Reverb, it was too much really, but it arrived in the UK and it’s what I remember.

I’ve played Ibanez over 30 years, and actually never considered the neck radius,

It’s taken some getting used to, it’s much more chunky, but it’s now feeling a bit more like home,

I just recently played a USA Nuno, and it was so much better than my N3. The propblem is, considering the price difference ($360 plus about $150 in upgrades vs. $3400), I could get close enough for a lot less money, even if I included a L500XL and a refret with jumbos.

The CS Nunos never go cheap. A lot of other custom shop models that went cheap once upon a time (they blew them out when they made a change in business models) and still can be found under $1K. They're high-quality guitars for the cash they go for. I recall not liking the 14" radius the one I found had. I also wasn't a fan of the JB bridge. Still, I find myself tempted to buy another.

I thought all of the USA Nunos had the "Bill Lawrence" L500XLs.

[mention]Rollin Hand[/mention] I probably confused you when I switched from talking about the Nuno to other CS Washburns. Most of those came with Duncans.

My low $$ Washburn is a very nice guitar for the money. Would like to get my hands on a custom shop model just to check it out.

Ah.

Of course I just put a JB in my N3. The result was a lot less aurally exciting than I anticipated.
