Practice Chairs?

So i have a bad back and can't stand to play very long. I've always just sat on the couch or in my recliner to play guitar, but it's horrible posture, and i'm starting to feel my age in my wrists and everything. Can any of you guys recommend a good chair to practice playing while sitting? I've thought about drum thrones, but I don't know if they would really work or not. I've looked for different chairs, but not sure what's really going to work for me, even those crazy music chair contraptions that look like you'll fall off of them any moment. I have a super comfortable office chair, but the arms don't move, so it doesn't work. Thinking of something with a foot rest on it.
What do any of you use?

I have a couple that I mostly use. A "executive" style office chair I picked up at Sam's Club a few years ago (because 1-it was cheap & 2.- the arms flip up out of the way.)
It is also my usual computer chair.
And I have some wood (mahogany I think) folding chairs that look like your typical dining room style chairs that my late wife got many years ago, where I know not.
I'm actually quite fond of them because they don't look anything like folding chairs.

I actually sat in something almost exactly like that today at At Home goods or whatever it's called. It was fairly comfortable, but I don't think it had the height adjustment.

I currently just use a roller desk chair with no arm rests. It's been working out great.
I bought this guitar chair at Sweetwater's GearFest in 2019. It's o.k. but not great. It's actually a bit too high for my tastes.

That is the current standard it seems. Why didn't they make the guitar holder on the back? Just seems we could do better. And for less.

I have this chair as well and agree it's probably not what you are looking for. it is high - i think the idea is for people to use it to sit at open-mic/acoustic gigs so that they are visible above a seated audience.
the seat is quite small and the adjustment is limited. i'm 5'9" 215 lbs, and it is not comfortable for me to sit on. i mainly use it for the guitar stand and as a place to keep my keys, wallet etc. while practicing.
at home i have one of these for my office desk and music room. it's nothing fancy, and you may want something with more support for your back. i spend more time in it these days since i've been working from home and can't really complain

What is shown in the thread would work good, just make sure it has lumbar support for the back. I had to switch from a great leather wingback chair to a dining room chair to rid myself of chair arms.

I have removed the back of my chair to do just that.

However for acoustic gigs, I just use the cheap Walmart 24" folding stool. It folds flat and is just the right height for me.

i sat in a bunch more styles, but I settled on this Mapex tractor seat style drum throne with back rest. So far it works very well and is comfortable

It adjusts in height, how far the back goes in or out, and back height. Perfect for my big body LOL
